Readezvous: The Book Tracker App From the JRen Book Tracker Team
Hey folks, it's Ren here, and today I get to share something we have been quietly building for months. After making book tracker spreadsheets used by over 70,000 customers, the message that landed in our inbox more than any other was some version of this: 'I love the sheet, but can I have it on my phone?'
So we built it. Readezvous is a private book tracker app with no ads, from JRen Digital, the team behind the JRen Book Tracker. It is live now at readezvous.app and works on iPhone, Android, tablet and computer.
The short version
Readezvous is a book tracker app that replaces the five places most readers juggle: a library app, a series list, a new-release reminder, a reading timer and a stats tracker. Snap your shelf to add books, watch them fill a bookshelf you can decorate, and see your whole reading life in one calm, private place.
- Add up to 10 books from one shelf photo, or scan a barcode for single books.
- Track every series in reading order and see what is next at a glance.
- Import from Goodreads, StoryGraph, Fable or your JRen Book Tracker file.
- No ads, no public feed, no premium tier. Every feature included, with a 14-day trial.
📣 What we're launching
JRen Digital has launched Readezvous, a reading tracker app built on the same idea that made our Ultimate Book Tracker spreadsheet a bestseller: enter a book once and everything else updates around it. Your shelf, your series, your stats and your reading streak all read from the same library, so nothing has to be kept in sync by hand.
The difference is where it lives. The spreadsheet shines at a desk. Readezvous is designed for the moments reading actually happens: in bed at 11pm, on the train, standing in a bookshop wondering if you already own the book in your hand.
'Why use five book apps when one does it all?' (the question that started Readezvous)
📱 Why we built an app after years of spreadsheets
When we asked readers how they tracked their books, almost nobody used just one tool. They logged in one app, checked stats in another, kept their TBR in a notes app, set a phone timer for reading sprints, and then copied the good bits into a spreadsheet because it looked nicer.
It is the same scattering problem I wrote about in the book tracker spreadsheet guide, just spread across more screens.
Readers also told us what they did not want. No ads between their books. No public feed making them feel slow. No features held back for a second subscription tier. If you have read our Goodreads alternative guide or the StoryGraph alternative guide, you will recognise the wish list. Readezvous is that list, built.
✨ What Readezvous does
| Feature | What it does | What it replaces |
|---|---|---|
| Shelf scan | Snap a photo of a shelf and add up to 10 books at once | Typing titles one by one |
| Barcode scan | Scan the back of a single book to add it in seconds | Searching and manual entry |
| Your Bookshelf | Every book on a cozy shelf, with candles, plants and little treasures you can swap any time | A cover gallery tab |
| Series tracker | Covers in reading order, showing what you have read, what is missing and what is next | A notes-app series list |
| Coming soon | New releases from the authors and series you love | Release-date reminders |
| Reading timer | Times your sessions and keeps your streak going | A phone stopwatch |
| Quote scan | Snap a page to save a favourite line, then share it as a quote card | Screenshots and sticky notes |
| Stats | Your reading year, genres, pace and streaks, counted for you | A stats spreadsheet |
A few of these will feel familiar if you have followed our book guides. The series tracker does in one tap what the book collection spreadsheet does with a series column. The timer and streak build on the no-shame habit thinking from the reading tracker spreadsheet, and the stats screen is your year in books without writing a single formula.

🔒 Private by design
Readezvous has no public profile and no social feed. Nobody sees what you read, how fast you read it, or how many books you quietly gave up on in chapter three. If you like a yearly goal, you can chase it without anyone watching, which is the whole point of the reading challenge that bends to your pace.
It also tracks every way you read. Print, ebook, audiobook or borrowed from the library, it all counts. If audiobooks make up a big share of your year, the thinking from our audiobook tracker guide still applies: track the listening, not just the finishing.
📥 How to move your library across in about 10 minutes
- Export your old library. Download your export file from Goodreads, StoryGraph or Fable, or grab your JRen Book Tracker file if you already use our spreadsheet.
- Start your 14-day trial. Head to readezvous.app and set up your account on whichever device you read with most.
- Tap the plus button, then Import. Choose your file and your books arrive with their status already set.
- Scan the shelves your apps never knew about. Photograph a shelf of physical books to add up to 10 at a time, or scan barcodes for strays.
- Add it to your home screen. Readezvous then opens like any other app and syncs across your phone, tablet and computer.
- Decorate your Bookshelf. This is the fun bit. Add a plant, a candle, whatever makes the shelf feel like yours.
Here are a few of the Bookshelf looks readers can pick from, from cozy wood to floral cottage.

🤝 Spreadsheet or app: which one suits you?
We are not retiring the spreadsheet. Plenty of readers love owning a file they can customise forever, and the Google Sheets and Excel versions are not going anywhere. Here is the honest comparison.
| JRen Book Tracker spreadsheet | Readezvous app | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Customising, desk planning, owning the file | Logging on the go, scanning, browsing your shelf |
| Adding books | Type each row | Shelf photo, barcode or import |
| Series and new releases | Manual columns | Automatic, with covers in order |
| Reading timer | Not included | Built in, with streaks |
| Works on | Google Sheets and Excel | iPhone, Android, tablet and computer |
| Payment | One-time purchase | 14-day trial, then annual or lifetime |
Plenty of readers will use both: the app for daily logging and the sheet for deep year-end analysis. Readezvous imports JRen Book Tracker files, so moving between them is easy. If you run a group, the book club spreadsheet is still the best way to handle picks, votes and hosting rotas, because Readezvous keeps your library private to you.
Your whole reading life, in one calm app
Readezvous puts your shelf, series, new releases, reading timer, quotes and stats in one private app with no ads. Snap a shelf, import your Goodreads or StoryGraph library, and decorate a bookshelf that feels like yours. Made by JRen Digital, trusted by over 70,000 customers.
Try Readezvous for 14 days →Every feature included. Works on iPhone, Android, tablet and computer.
🎯 Your next step this week
- Export your library from whichever app you use now, so it is ready to import.
- Start the 14-day trial and scan the shelf closest to your bed first.
- Set up the series you are mid-way through and check the Coming soon list.
- Run one timed reading session tonight and see how the streak feels.
- If you are a planner at heart, keep the spreadsheet for year-end deep dives and let the app handle the daily logging.
